How to use and install a GIMP curve

This is my (first) tutorial. I decided to do this instead of attaching a note/image into my pack, so it doesn't take up space or keep being deleted all the time.

What is this 'GIMP curve' you speak of?

• A setting for the curves filter. This can define your image, make it duller, or change the color. It can be found in the colors tab at the top.

What's GIMP?

• A free editing program that requires downloading

Where can I download GIMP?

• Through the GIMP Website. It requires installation. If you are unable to install things on your computer try portableapps.com

Where can I get an extraction program?

• From their website. A few are 7zip, B1 Archive, and Zipeg. Windows and Mac should also have a preinstalled program to open zip files. Remember that each program is different and you may need to search the instructions for them.

Why doesn't my GIMP look like yours?

• I have installed a theme. These make the GIMP interface look different, and honestly, a lot easier on the eyes. I used this theme during this.

Why would I use a curve?

• To color or define something in your image. When you want to darken the shadows or make them more grey.

Can you do this without the theme so I can compare it to mine?

• They are exactly the same, just different colors. So no.

I don't have windows!!111211

• Okay? and I don't have an attic....

I have mac, not windows. Is it any different?

• Honestly, I can't tell your for sure, but I'm mostly sure that it's the same process except your curves folder location may have a different pathway.

• If my instructions were unclear, reread it step by step slowly or google it. My way of teaching might be totally different than how you learn and that happens.
